1968 Schwinn apple krate

Heres the real thing right here, I've had this bike a while and never really done anything with it, i like Schwinn but its funny as people dont notice them here like they do with the choppers.

the bike may be at billing this year !!!!

the bike when i first got it, many thanks to Jim Bernard as this bike used to sit in his museum.



the bike now with its new rear Tyre and a missing overload tube fitted.

Well i think it stop the gears from pulling in and damaging the cable, its the bit just after the shifter.

Yeah just used to slip up a little bit, to be honest i haven really used in on a long ride out.

Im guessing it must be like a stop then, to give the lever something to pull against to pull the inner cable!
