I prefer to leave it on and tape it. That way I can use it as a handle to turn the bike as I need to in order to get at the best painting angles. I tape off the other side of the cog and the stand itself and I use it to flip the bike at all different angles. Just a preference I guess.

o my word,look at that,that is looking ace and i am loving the colour,it looks gorgeous,what a top job done there joe.i cannot wait to see this finished,also joe have you got all the minty parts to put back on it??

I have all of the chrome parts cleaned in Evaporust and ready, a new set of decals, violet seat and grips, etc., the second can of paint I was spraying malfunctioned so i had to order another one. I may be down for a few days. I have painted two more coats and it is baking now but until I can get it out in the sun it is hard to say if it needs more paint or not. I need to have it delivered in the first week of March so I want to get it done. I will post another pic soon.

damn damn,a bit of a set back joe,and you did,nt need that to happen,but i reckon you can pull this 1 round and sort it out,hope it looks good in the sun and you don,t have to do it again.hope the chrome comes up real good for you aswell.as this deserves to look like new when finished.and we understand if you may be down for a few days as you have to sort this and keep the customer,s happy.good luck and i hope you get it sorted mate..

Thank you. I am hoping to get a good look at it tomorrow morning and if it is good I will put the decals on and let them dry for a day then clearcoating by the weekend.
